Digital Learning

Digital Learning

During 2020, St Bernard’s adopted Google for Education as our platform for digital learning & Remote Education.

Google Classroom is at the heart of this platform. Each pupil has a digital classroom for each of their subjects. This allows their teachers to add content from lesson or for homework for pupils to access remotely. Some assignments can be completed online, this allows pupils to receive feedback digitally.

During the 2020, with some students having to self isolate due to Covid-19, teachers were able to to use the Google Meet feature of the platform to live stream lessons to pupils who couldn’t be in school. This allowed pupils to take part in the lesson, and ask questions as if they were in the classroom!

Students are added to their correct classrooms at the start of the school year so they can access lesson information and homework.

If you have a problem with Google Classroom please see your IT teacher or contact the school.
